The American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) has nominated Maine Veterans' Homes Administrators Melissa Graham of MVH Caribou and Brad Peck of MVH South Paris for the 2023 Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award (EPFLA). This award is a recognition of distinction, with only 2% of skilled nursing facilities qualifying nationwide.
Introduced in 2008, the EPFLA award program was created by the late Eli Pick to use data-driven criteria to objectively identify high-performing Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) and the leaders who make them excel.
Recipients are identified using publicly collected data by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), which track quality measures focused on safety and successful patient outcomes that score in the nation's top 25% of skilled nursing facilities.
